(Nikon Instruments Inc.: Melville, NY) -- Nikon Instruments Inc. recently announced the availability of the iNEXIV VMA Automeasure Version 2.5 software specifically designed for the iNEXIV VMA-2520 multisensor measuring system. Built on the VMA Automeasure platform, the update significantly enhances speed and ease-of-use for a variety of tasks ranging from setup, teaching programs and measurements, to evaluations.

"The iNEXIV VMA-2520 is a powerful, user-friendly benchtop metrology system that offers repeatable and accurate measurement of 3-D parts," says Mike Metzger, general manager, of industrial microscopy and metrology. "With this software upgrade, users will experience expanded capabilities that allow them to achieve better efficiencies within their labs."

Specifically, the upgrade offers new tools and constructions, such as improved manual measurement mode, touch probe functionality and editing capabilities. Beyond providing advanced precision capabilities, the new software also expedites field-of-view processing of 3-D images and teach file creation.
