(Lloyd Instruments: West Sussex, UK) -- Lloyd Instruments Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of material testing machines and software, texture analyzers, and polymer test instruments, has introduced the latest additions to its line of advanced materials testing systems: the LS5 and LS2.5. Both single-column machines feature the latest linear guide technology, pre-loaded ball screws, and advanced software compensation systems, ensuring the highest level of precision displacement measurement.

The LS5 is a 5kN/1,124 lbf machine; the LS2.5 is a 2.5kN/562 lbf device. Both are available with an extensive range of grips, fixtures, extensometers, and software options and feature a large work area with 150 mm throat depth for larger specimens and a wide range of work tables for increased flexibility. Both are equally suited for a wide range of materials testing applications in quality control, academic, and research and development environments.
