A total of 1,728 companies from 30 countries filled 1,180 booths and 1,137,375 sq. ft. with the latest advances in manufacturing technology. Attendees totaling 82,411 from more than 100 countries came to see and buy the equipment, tooling, and services they'll need to maintain the competitive edge in their area of manufacturing.

"We are ecstatic that IMTS 2010 met and, in many cases, exceeded our exhibitors' and visitors' expectations," says AMT vice president of  exhibitions and communications Peter Eelman. "The show was lively and many exhibitors expressed some surprise and satisfaction with the quantity and quality of attendees." Early reports suggest that many significant orders were booked during the show.

The many special features and attractions at this year's show were also well received. The Emerging Technology Center, Advanced Manufacturing Center, the retooled Industry & Technology Conference, Manufacturing Museum and NIMS Student Summit all had healthy traffic.
