(LDI: Minneapolis) -- Laser Design Inc. (LDI), developer and provider of 3-D scanning systems and dimensional inspection services, now offers Europe’s leading anti-reflection coating for laser scanning, Helling 3D Scan Spray.

Reflectivity is detrimental to 3D data acquisition, so it is often necessary to apply an anti-glare coating to objects before 3D scanning. Helling 3D Scan Spray is a great option for this due to its thin and uniform adherence to surfaces. This eliminates pooling and clumping that negatively affect scan data accuracy. The spray also washes off easily with water.

Helling 3D Scan Spray was specifically developed to deposit layers at a controlled thickness. Traditional 3D scan sprays are not designed to regulate thickness, which affects the integrity of the captured 3D scan data. With an average particle size of only 2.8 microns, only Helling 3D Scan Spray produces exact-copy object scans with near-zero reflectivity interference.
