(LVMC: Macclesfield, Cheshire, United Kingdom) --  The Large Volume Metrology Conference and exhibition, hosted by Airbus, is designed to be informative, topical, and educational to stimulate further debate and to inspire ongoing personal development. This nonprofit and self-financed event also serves to steer academia and standards institutes towards the relevant research and standards requirements. The LVMC‘10 will be held at the Chester Racecourse in Chester, United Kingdom, Nov. 2–3.

Since its introduction in 2005 the LVMC and exhibition has established itself as a key event and a valuable opportunity for the measurement community, including system users, engineers, academia, standards institutes, and system suppliers, to meet annually and to exhibit the latest equipment available which has included laser trackers, indoor GPS, automation, photogrammetry, laser radar and projection, and CMMs. The exhibition focuses exclusively on portable and large volume 3-D measurement technology and is a unique opportunity to network within a high concentration of users and suppliers of this specialized field.

Submit a presentation or paper at LVMC’10

Abstracts for presentations or papers are accepted until Friday Aug. 20. Presentations are usually delivered from the main stage to the entire audience although the LVMC Events Team is open to ideas for smaller workshop sessions. Presentation guidelines

• No subject is too narrow or too broad. The aim is to ensure that the LVMC continues to focus on the most pertinent and topical issues in the industry today, and the LVMC is open to contributions from all parts of the field.
• The LVMC conference program is intended to be educational. Presentations which are sales focused will not be accepted.
• All presentation slots are 30 minutes long which should be 25 minutes of speaking followed by five minutes of taking questions from the audience.
• To make your application please e-mail an abstract of your presentation, or the completed version if available, to info@lvmc.org.uk. Your application will then be reviewed by the event organizers.
• Abstracts should provide a very detailed overview of the content of your presentation. Please include as much information as possible. Please also confirm the name(s) of the person(s) who will be delivering the presentation along with their organization and job title.
• Should your presentation be accepted for inclusion in the LVMC program it is imperative that you provide a final version no later than one week prior to the event.
