What happened to the good old show-me-the-money capitalistic down-and-dirty business I grew up with? Where’s the cutthroat competition? What happened to “we’re big, you’re not, we’re doing it our way” partnerships?

Something happened when I was wasn’t looking because business is all so touchy-feely now. Strategic partnerships, coopetition, cultural exchange. Did Atlas swoon? What have we become?

Better, most likely. We have slowly but surely learned that nice business is good business, that happy customers make us more money than meh customers, and that no matter how big and successful we are, we can always learn from our business partners.

Friends and / or Foes ?

Let's be careful, we musn't start form the prejudice that a friend is friend forever, often a good friend becomes the worst enemy. I would say that CONVENIENCE - especially economical - is what governs any partnership, or relationship. So, let's step on solid ground and don't dream of technical or cultural expertise. In today's world, the winner is MONEY.
