This latest version introduces expanded hardware integration, deeper automation capabilities, and significant improvements in scan data processing and inspection workflows. Geomagic Control X 2026.1 empowers quality teams to improve productivity, reduce manual effort, and ensure consistent, traceable results in manufacturing processes.

What’s new in Geomagic Control X 2026.1

Expanded scanner integration

• Support for ZG handheld scanners allows user to set scanning properties of HHScan for ZG handheld scanners inside the Control X environment.
• New support for HyperProbe enables more seamless data capture directly within Control X.
• DefinSight integration for Scantech devices replaces previous ScanViewer plug-in.
• Grayscale line scanning allows for clearer visualization of scan data.

Advanced automation and scripting

• Enhanced text and visual scripting tools streamline inspection workflows and reduce manual setup.
• Interactive selection of polyvertices and polyfaces by pausing the script allows use of dynamic selection in the script.
• Automated mesh cleanup workflows are now possible by deleting selected portions of a mesh.

Boundary Inspection

Use boundary features (circles, slots, rectangles) directly for inspection workflows by importing them from scan data.

Faster, more robust scan data processing

Improvements to mesh splitting and decimation deliver higher-quality results with reduced processing time.

Data import

• Import Leica Geosystems files directly into Control X
• Import model data and PMI from latest CAD packages

Improved inspection repeatability

Updates to 3D comparison and generating DMIS reports from automated tools provide more consistent, traceable quality outcomes.

Geomagic Control X continues to provide a comprehensive metrology platform designed to ensure quality in design, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance workflows. The 2026.1 release further strengthens its ability to deliver fast, precise, and data-rich inspection results that drive productivity and quality improvements.
