Semiconductor manufacturing and design organizations are under increasing pressure to accelerate innovation while managing growing complexity throughout design, manufacturing, and the broader product life cycle. Semiconductor PLM solutions built on Aras Innovator provide a connected, traceable operating model for product information, enabling more informed decisions and better visibility into the downstream effects of change.
The Industry Accelerator introduces three semiconductor-specific application templates that can be deployed individually or together:
• Stage-gate program portfolio management: Enables data-driven life cycle decisions by connecting program milestones with product, manufacturing, supplier, quality, and compliance information.
• IP management: Transforms semiconductor IP into governed, reusable assets with traceability in products, licensing, export controls, and engineering change
• Manufacturing process and artifact management: Extends the digital thread into manufacturing by governing process plans, manufacturing artifacts, work instructions, qualification evidence, and manufacturing readiness alongside product information.
These semiconductor-specific applications complement Aras Innovator’s standard library of application templates, including product engineering, change management, supplier collaboration, compliance, simulation product data management, and quality management.
As organizations continue to adopt AI to accelerate engineering workflows, connected and governed product information managed within a strong digital thread framework becomes even more important. This solution brings together trusted life cycle information across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, compliance, and change to provide the governed data foundation for AI-driven engineering within the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
“The semiconductor industry operates at an extraordinary pace, where decisions around IP reuse, design, and manufacturing have lasting business impact,” says Leon Lauritsen, CEO of Aras. “This solution reflects our approach to addressing industry-specific challenges, helping semiconductor organizations connect product life cycle information to make more informed decisions across the chip-to-system life cycle.”
Aras will showcase its semiconductor solution during DAC 2026, the premier event for the design and design automation of electronic chips to systems, held July 26–29 in Long Beach, California. Visit Aras at Booth 843 to learn more.
