(CIMdata: Ann Arbor, MI) -- The Aerospace & Defense (A&D) PLM Action Group (AD PAG) has released the third edition of its PLM Global Collaboration position paper.

ADVERTISEMENT

The purpose of the position paper is to document AD PAG’s collective vision for a common mechanism to support original equipment manufacturer/supply chain product development collaboration. The group’s goal is to simplify PLM global collaboration.

The newly released paper builds on previous editions and lists the requirements for establishing the proposed “to-be” collaboration environment. The first edition detailed the existing “as-is” mechanisms for collaboration and the resulting negative business impacts. That information was incorporated into the second edition, which was expanded to describe the mutually agreed upon future “to-be” (i.e., desired state) mechanism for collaboration.
