(Nikon Metrology: Brighton, MI) -- Nikon Metrology has launched three new ECLIPSE microscope models—the LV100NDA LED, LV100ND LED, and LV100N POL LED—to strengthen the company’s comprehensive range of industrial microscope solutions. These microscopes have adopted a high color-rendering LED light source that achieves more natural observation.

The ECLIPSE LV100NDA LED and LV100ND LED are flexible, modular upright microscopes designed for episcopic and diascopic optical contrast techniques. These are specifically designed for polarizing observation, featuring episcopic and diascopic illumination for mineralogical and rock study, as well as metal material analysis.

Key features

Improved maintenance

The high color-rendering LED light source upgrades brightness, color, and color-rendering properties compared to the existing halogen source, extending lamp life from 1,100 to 50,000 hours. Space efficiency is improved by incorporating the LED light source into the microscope stand (LV100NDA LED and LV100ND LED), reducing footprints by up to approximately 100 mm, depending on the model.
