Also located in Luxembourg, MeluXina is capable of carrying out billions of calculations per second, making it one of Europe’s most powerful computer systems. Moving forward, the technology is set to become a critical asset in the development of next-generation 3D surface reconstruction algorithms—and turbocharge Artec 3D’s machine learning (ML) research.

With further R&D, advanced neural reconstruction is expected to improve surface accuracy, capturing intricate details with unprecedented clarity. AI-powered material detection will enable users to differentiate between surfaces more effectively, improving applications in quality control and reverse engineering. In terms of texture capture, machine learning is also set to enhance mapping, resulting in more lifelike 3D models with ultrarealistic colors.
