Published: Thursday, February 12, 2015 - 12:49 (Verisurf: Anaheim, CA) -- Verisurf has announced the addition of two key coordinate metrology experts to its growing sales team. Tom Moon has joined Verisurf as North American sales manager, and Pat Bass has joined as regional sales manager for California and Arizona. “We are pleased to have Tom and Pat join our team, as they bring with them extensive experience in both sales and application expertise of coordinate metrology solutions,” says Ernie Husted, president and CEO of Verisurf. “With the announcement of Verisurf X8 with Automate, our solutions are now being deployed across the manufacturing enterprise—on the shop floor, in the field, and in the QC lab, creating increased demand for sales professionals with strong metrology backgrounds.” Tom Moon, sales manager, North America, comes to Verisurf with more than fifteen years of sales and sales management experience in IT, logistics, and coordinate metrology. In an effort to be centrally located, Moon will be heading up the national sales effort from Dallas, TX. “I come from the hardware device side of the business, where I was able to get to know and respect the Verisurf product and management team, which I am now pleased to be part of. I hope to have a positive impact on the future of Verisurf,” says Moon. Pat Bass, regional sales manager for California and Arizona, also comes from the hardware device side of the metrology business. Working for a large CMM manufacturer, Pat has sold bundled CMM solutions to customers for the past twelve years. Before that, Pat spent seventeen years in aerospace quality and inspection, and another three years managing a team of on-site metrology services professionals. “For me, it is great to finally be on the application side of the business; the software is where the magic happens for the customer and Verisurf is at the top of the list when it comes to performance and flexibility,” says Bass, who adds, “I plan to work from the center of my region in Southern California, which puts me within an hour of any of our customers in the Southwest.” Quality Digest does not charge readers for its content.
