Published: Thursday, August 15, 2013 - 15:16 (Creaform: Lévis, Québec, Canada) -- Creaform, developer, manufacturer, and provider of portable 3-D measurement solutions and 3D engineering services, has announced its financial results for the first half of 2013. The company reports sales growth of 41 percent over 2012.
“We are extremely happy with our performance in the first half of the year,” says Creaform CEO Martin Lamontagne. “If the trend continues into H2, we will be largely exceeding our ambitious $52.5 million sales objective for 2013. We have invested a lot of resources into developing a broad portfolio of portable and accurate measurement technologies that enable QC inspectors to take measurements right on the shop floor, and all indicates that our efforts are paying off. “Last May, we have launched the MetraSCAN-R robot-mounted 3D scanner for automated inspection,” adds Lamontagne. “The scanner has raised the interest of several major manufacturers, and we are expecting that to translate into sales during the second half of the year.” Technology sales figures The sales of the MetraSCAN 3D scanners and HandyPROBE portable coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) have increased by 58 percent over 2012. Both devices feature TRUaccuracy, which ensures high-accuracy measurement in shop-floor conditions and actively contributes to reducing operator-related errors. Since its release in October of 2012, the Go!SCAN 3D white light scanner has exceeded Creaform’s expectations in terms of sales figures, considering this product is in its first year of existence. The Go!SCAN 3D is Creaform’s fastest and most easy-to-use 3D scanner. Quality Digest does not charge readers for its content.
