(FARO: Lake Mary, FL) -- FARO Technologies, a global provider of portable measurement and imaging solutions, has been named Manufacturer of the Year by the Manufacturers Association of Florida (MAF), an award that recognizes FARO for its excellence in manufacturing, customer service, and community involvement. The award ceremony punctuated the annual MAF Manufacturers’ Summit and Global Marketplace, Nov. 30–Dec. 1, 2011, in Orlando.

“FARO is honored to be named Manufacturer of the Year by the Manufacturers Association of Florida,” says David Morse, FARO’s managing director and senior vice president for the Americas. “We have a fantastic team and have really improved operational efficiencies to deliver world-class products and services to our customers.
