During most of John Stepper’s career he was lucky. One day his group was re-organized and he had to look for a new job. Traditional networking and personal branding seemed insincere; he looked for a better way. He learned how to build authentic relationships, how to share his work in a way that made it better, and how to create a practice that helped him make his own luck.
