Managing consultant and an ergonomics engineer

Blake McGowan, managing consultant and ergonomics engineer for Humantech Inc., helps companies achieve best-in-class results by implementing workplace improvements that increase productivity, enhance product quality, and reduce injuries and illnesses. With more than 10 years of experience, McGowan has facilitated thousands of employee-driven continuous improvement projects and hundreds of complex product design and manufacturing solutions. McGowan led the development of Humantech’s risk identification and assessment tools, and its risk priority management software, as well as the Handbook of Ergonomic Design Guidelines (Humantech, 2012). McGowan has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a master’s in biomechanics from the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
