George Anastasopoulos

Chairman and CEO

George Anastasopoulos, Ph.D., is the technical and international business development manager of Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation Inc. (PJLA). He also serves as general secretary of the International Personnel Certification Association (IPC) and chairman of the Conformity Assessment Society (CAS).

Anastasopoulos holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. in applied mechanics from Northwestern University and has completed the University of California-Berkeley executive education program in artificial intelligence. With more than 30 years of international experience in conformity assessment, accreditation, and management systems, he is actively involved in ISO/CASCO, ISO/TC 176, IAF, ILAC, ASTM, and IPC technical activities. His current professional focus includes risk-based conformity assessment and the responsible integration of artificial intelligence in accredited conformity assessment processes.
