(Exact Metrology: Cincinnati) -- The Cincinnati Reds celebrated their 150th anniversary as the nation’s first all-professional baseball team by dedicating a pavilion outside the ballpark on May 5, 2019.

Local Cincinnati artist, Tom Tsuchiya, created relief figures of the members of the 1869 team that adorn a gazebo highlighting the site. It includes 12 bronze busts of 10 players, the club president and secretary. Tom also designed the player statues around the Great American Ball Park. The figures enshrined include Asa Brainard, pitcher/outfield; Doug Allison, catcher; Charlie Gould, first base; Charlie Sweasy, second base; Fred Waterman, third base; George Wright, shortstop; Andy Leonard, left field; Harry Wright, center field/pitcher (team captain); Cal McVey, right field; William “Dick” Hurley, substitute; Aaron Champion, club president; and John Joyce, secretary.

(Exact Metrology: Cincinnati) -- On March 28, 2019, Exact Metrology was among several companies who came to Latonia Elementary Career Day. This event was meant to introduce students to a variety of careers in health, law, manufacturing, engineering, technology, and other fields.

Fifth-grade students spent three weeks researching different careers that interested them. They learned information concerning future salary, education, and job skills. Then, students had the opportunity to speak with professionals in their chosen fields and ask questions.

EVCO Plastics is an injection molding company that produces parts for myriad industries, including powered sports equipment, lawn and garden devices, agricultural and construction machinery, and medical and packaging machinery. Owing to the volume of work, coupled with the challenges of collecting and processing point-cloud data in the lab, the company turned to its supplier partner, Exact Metrology, for assistance.

(Exact Metrology: Cincinnati, OH) -- Exact Metrology announced today the signing of an agreement with ProCon X-Ray for exclusive rights to distribute the company’s product line throughout the United States.

ProCon, located in Germany, has been developing X-ray systems for nondestructive testing since 2004. The company is a state-of-the-art manufacturer of X-ray and computed tomography (CT) systems designed specifically for industrial applications.

(Exact Metrology: Brookfield, WI) -- On Sept. 16, 2015, for approximately three hours, Exact Metrology technicians performed a 3D scan of the huge South Lion that guards the entrance to the world-famous Chicago Art Institute. The subsequent STL file is being used by Chicago-based Met-L-Flo to generate 300 3D-printed miniature lions, to be displayed and provided to visitors at the upcoming FABTECH show in Chicago, Nov. 9-12, 2015.

Josh Schradin, one of the 3D Scanning specialists at Exact Metrology’s Cincinnati facility, recently completed a computed tomography (CT) scanning project involving aluminum castings measuring approximately 12 in. x 6 in. x 6 in. and weighing 10 to 15 pounds.

(Exact Metrology: Brookfield, WI) -- Exact Metrology held a tech event on June 25, 2015, at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana, to demonstrate the newest products in 3D scanning equipment. Billed as "Don't Gamble With Your 3D Scanning," the event was attended by local industry professionals, including those from the steel, oil and gas, and power-generation sectors.

(Exact Metrology: Cincinnati, OH) -- Exact Metrology, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has acquired a new Metrology Grade GE Phoenix v|tome|x m, a CT scanner system with dual tube technology, nanofocus to 180Kv and microfocus to 300Kv, significantly expanding the company’s capability in 3D scanning to 2 microns with sufficient power to measure denser parts. According to company sources, Exact Metrology is the first company in the United States to purchase this system.
