TAGSYS recently introduced a software suite—e-connectware—to manage global radio frequency identification (RFID) networks. A comprehensive set of administrative and management tools, e-connectware delivers the highest quality of service levels, and ensures data integrity and data accuracy in item-level tagging.

e-connectware comprises three products:
  • Essentials—intelligent monitoring and management of TAGSYS reader infrastructure at a local level with one user interface—available now.
  • Enterprise—control, administration and remote management of TAGSYS reader infrastructure on a networked, multisite basis—available later this year.
  • Global—administration, remote management and control of heterogeneous reader infrastructure on a networked, global level with mission-critical quality of service requirements—available later this year.

“Enabling quality of service and performance level agreements is key to accelerating pilot activity,” says Eric Newmark, senior research analyst for Health Industry Insights. “Frequency-independent platforms will ultimately pave the way for widespread RFID adoption in the life sciences.”
