A new partnership between two software organizations highlights Six Sigma’s use in the mining industry.An Aug. 9 webinar will introduce the partnership between OSIsoft and BESTECH, and explain the use of their software by BHP Billiton, one of the world’s largest mining companies. The webinar will showcase BHP Billiton’s use of OSIsoft PI System, as well as BESTECH’s PORTAULS process optimization software, which leverages an OSIsoft platform and its application to a mature Six Sigma organization.

The partnership between the software companies is being welcomed by the mining industry and Six Sigma professionals, who note the potential in other mining concerns.
