Minitab Introduces Statistical Support Services

Minitab recently began offering direct client assistance through its new statistical support services. Minitab established the service under the premise that successful quality-improvement initiatives require accurate analysis of performance data, but most companies lack the advanced statistical expertise needed to perform the analyses. The service allows companies to hire a Minitab statistician to provide the data analysis they need to achieve their quality improvement goals.

Minitab reports that the new offering has already helped a major utility company to analyze customer satisfaction, a large medical facility to examine payment rates for various surgeries, and another business to predict the time and expense of customized printing jobs to make their bids as accurate as possible. The statistical support team consists of statisticians and engineers with a wide range of experience in using statistical tools to solve real-world problems. They’re also trained to offer solutions in easy-to-understand language.

Minitab offers a free initial consultation to determine whether the service can address a client’s needs and the service is sold in 10- and 100-hour blocks of time. Statistical analysis can be delivered remotely, via phone and e-mail, or on-site.
