A newly released pocket-sized book will help automotive suppliers meet an upcoming deadline to comply with the new international technical specification for quality ISO/TS 16949.Robert Peach and James Collins Jr.’s The Memory Jogger for ISO/TS 16949 (QSU Publishing Co., 2005) is intended for every employee—from line operators to CEOs—in the supply chain. The book was jointly produced by The Growth Opportunity Alliance of Greater Lawrence (GOAL/QPC) and QSU Publishing Co. Authors Peach and Collins say that they wanted to avoid creating a textbook for automotive suppliers. “It reaches into the organization,” says Peach. “Because you have quantities throughout the organization, the message in the Jogger will reach the lower levels of the organization.”
“It will be of value to anyone who wants to deliver better-quality parts and services,” explains Paul Scicchitano, QSU Publishing president and publisher. “Our collaboration with GOAL/QPC allowed us to build on the strengths of both organizations to develop a succinct guide that automotive suppliers can refer back to over and over again even after they’re certified to TS 16949.”
