Six Sigma in Financial Services Sector Summit Planned

The Strategic Research Institute is planning a summit designed for Six Sigma professionals in the financial services sector. The event will be held Feb. 24–25 at the New York Marriott East Side Hotel in New York City. The summit will be presented mostly in a round-table format, with discussions on capitalizing on synergies between lean and Six Sigma, maximizing return on investment through enhanced project selection criteria, enhancing Six Sigma performance through customization, and instituting enterprisewide cultural change.

The summit’s featured presentation will be from Christopher Winkel, of Caterpillar Financial Services Corp. Winkel, a Master Black Belt, will discuss some of the strategies his company used to improve its processes and win a Baldrige Award. Some of the companies participating in the summit include Bank of America, Boston Financial, Ceridian Benefits Services Inc., Countrywide Financial Corp., Wachovia Corp. and Instantis.
