TÜV Rheinland North America Expands Accreditation

Boosts global compliance capabilities

(TÜV Rheinland North America: Boxborough, MA) -- Marking a significant milestone at its Boxborough, Massachusetts, laboratory, TÜV Rheinland North America has achieved a major scope expansion under A2LA accreditation for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and wireless product testing. TÜV Rheinland North America has recently been accepted as a National Certification Body (NCB) by the IECEE, managing its CB testing laboratories (CBTLs) in Pleasanton, California, Fremont, California, and Boxborough. This recognition further strengthens its leadership in product safety and electromagnetic compatibility on a global scale.

Comprehensive scope, expanded capabilities

With this new scope of accreditation, TÜV Rheinland North America is now equipped to offer a broader range of EMC and wireless testing services, enabling manufacturers to meet complex regulatory requirements and accelerate their time to market.

Key highlights of the expanded capabilities include:
• EMC testing—Now covering essential standards such as CISPR 11, CISPR 32, IEC 60601-1-2, and IEC 61326-1, as well as newly added standards like IEC 62920, EN 60974-10, and automotive-specific standards including CISPR 25 and ISO 11452-2
• Wireless testing—Expanded services for compliance with FCC regulations covering unintentional and intentional radiators, along with industrial, scientific, and medical equipment. The testing and certification services now also extend to markets in Canada, Europe, Taiwan, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Korea.
