(Metrologic Group: Wixom, MI) -- Metrologic Group, a global leader in 3D inspection software, announces full compatibility between its software suite and Renishaw’s newly launched Equator X-500 system.

This integration gives manufacturing and quality teams a powerful new combination: the speed and flexibility of the Equator X-500 alongside the high-performance 3D inspection, data analysis, and digital continuity features of Metrolog X4.

Equator X-500 users can run advanced dimensional control workflows directly within the Metrolog X4 platform, leveraging its full suite of capabilities for real-time data processing, statistical analysis, and comprehensive reporting.

“Renishaw’s launch of the Equator X-500 immediately resonated with our vision for customer-centric, manufacturing-focused innovation,” says Karolina Rzepiejewska-Malyska, VP of product strategy and innovation for Metrologic Group and QDM. “Our goal is to ensure that customers can make the most of their measurement hardware systems, whatever platform they use. By enabling full compatibility with the Equator X-500, we reinforce our commitment to interoperability, scalability, and seamless shop-floor integration.”

The Equator X-500 can be deployed as an absolute measurement coordinate system and as a comparator, addressing a wide range of inspection scenarios. Its integration with Metrologic Group’s Metrolog X4 software platform and wider quality ecosystem, including QDM SPC, and 3DCS Variation Analyst, enables manufacturers to:
• Seamlessly import and process measurement data from the Equator X-500 into advanced analysis and reporting environments
• Combine real-time shop-floor inspection with CAD-based simulation and tolerance modeling
• Link inspection data with quality dashboards, traceability records, and process control systems
• Enable closed-loop quality improvement by feeding Equator results back into design and production workflows.

This compatibility reinforces Metrologic’s open-platform strategy. By connecting to industry-standard systems like the Renishaw Equator X-500, customers can build integrated, agile, and intelligent quality workflows without being locked into specific hardware or formats. That combination allows customers to achieve faster decision-making, greater process control, and enhanced product quality, right where it matters most—on the shop floor.

This compatibility is available immediately for all Metrolog X4 users with the latest version and an active maintenance agreement. For more information, visit www.metrologic.group.
