(Suburban Tool: Auburn Hills, MI) -- Suburban Tool Inc., well-known in the toolmaking industry for its high-precision, high-quality tools, has added an aluminum cast-iron hybrid straightedge. “Master-Edge Hybrid” complements Suburban’s existing line of successful aluminum and cast-iron straightedges.

The new hybrid straightedges offer the same high quality as Suburban’s cast-iron straightedges at approximately 50% of the weight, making them ideal for applications where the weight of a cast-iron product might be prohibitive.

These new hybrid straightedges comprise a 319 cast-aluminum body and G2 gray cast-iron wear strips bonded to the working faces, making them lightweight yet very durable. The straightedges are precisely ground to Suburban’s exacting standards.

The straightedges are available in lengths of 18 in., 36 in., 48 in., 60 in., 72 in., 96 in., and 120 in.
