This is the fifth installment in our six-part series on how automating common business processes with enterprise quality management software (EQMS) can benefit your organization. In this installment, we’ll focus on the automated audit management process.

Manual systems often don’t provide the functionality needed to manage audits effectively. You want to be able to create the audit quickly, without having to retype questions, compile checklists, and fill out the audit report every time. Audits are an important part of quality management so the ability to manage them properly is the key to an effective process.

Why the need for automating audit management

Auditing plays a key role in any organization to ensure that you are running an efficient operation and that everything is being handled the way it’s supposed to be. And although “audit” is often synonymous with panic… don’t. Auditing is an essential part of continuous improvement and quality management. Audits provide a method for examining your various processes so you can determine where improvements are needed and make changes for the better.
