Body

(Hexagon: North Kingstown, RI) -- Hexagon Metrology has announced the launch of the latest generation of the successful Leica T-Scan. More than 15 times faster compared to the previous model, the Leica T-Scan 5 has almost double the stand-off distance, which results in more efficient data capture, especially in difficult-to-reach areas. It is ideal for non-contact laser scanning for CAD-to-part inspections and reverse engineering applications and provides immediate feedback of critical features after design iterations. The Leica T-Scan 5 is typically used in applications within the aerospace, automotive, ship building, and earth-moving industries. It may also be employed for automation and robotic applications, where inspection processes benefit from maximum laser tracking and machine performance.
