This efficiency is delivered by optimizing the heating and cooling steps in the mounting process, which minimizes operator involvement while reducing time, energy, and water usage.

The optional chamfered lower ram automatically bevels the specimen edge, saving time when preparing for the grinding and polishing process. Additional functions for specific applications are directly accessible on the user interface, simplifying programming to a few button pushes. Make high-quality, clear thermoplastic mounts by simply pressing the thermoplastic button on the front panel. Preset parameters are displayed for use or modification.

The SimpliMet XPS1 is available with a variety of mold sizes suitable for all mounting applications. The molds are available in 1 in., 1.25 in., 1.5 in., and 2 in., as well as 30 mm, 40 mm and 50 mm diameters. The mounting system can be purchased complete with the desired mold. Additional mold diameters and chamfered lower rams can be purchased separately.
