The laser tracker service, which represents a first-year investment by Atlas of about $250,000, is ideal for harsh environments where machining services require precision measurement and portability.
With the added service, Atlas joins a handful of other U.S. companies capable of successfully applying laser measurement technology to complex on-site jobs. The introduction of laser tracking also fits seamlessly into industrial services already available through the company’s field machining division, which was launched less than a year ago.
