(Spectronics: Westbury, New York) -- Spectronics Corp., manufacturer of UV, UV/blue, and LED products for inspection, testing, monitoring, diagnostics, has introduced the OPTI-LUX 365 Series UV-A (365 nm) LED flashlights, which are perfect for a wide variety of nondestructive testing (NDT) inspection applications. There is a choice of four models to suit your specific needs. High-intensity and standard-intensity versions are available, each with or without an internal black light filter. The black light filter reduces the output of wavelengths longer than 400 nm.

The high-intensity versions produce a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 10,000 µW/cm² at 15 in. (38 cm). The standard-intensity models produce a maximum UV-A intensity of 4,500 µW/cm² to address aerospace industry concerns. All OPTI-LUX 365 flashlights meet ASTM UV-A wavelength and intensity specifications for FPI and MPI. They come complete with a certificate of compliance for wavelength and output measurements.
