Body

(Qualitest: Fort Lauderdale, FL) -- QualiSurf, the portable surface roughness tester from Qualitest USA, developer and manufacturer of high-technology testing products and solutions, is a pocket-sized economical instrument for measuring surface texture conforming to traceable standards. It can be used on the shop floor in any position—horizontal, vertical, or anywhere in between. With its piezoelectric pickup transducer and diamond tip, this tester can be used for checking roughness on metals, harder plastic, and harder rubber.

The QualiSurf surface roughness tester has a large OLED back-light display indicating either roughness parameter Ra or Rz at the touch of a button, combined with the selected cutoff length. Test performance results are clear and easy to read. External calibration of roughness values is possible by means of a special CAL button, which makes adjustment of this instrument efficient. A beep signal informs the user of each individual measurement status when ready.
