German Quality Training Offered to U.S. Automotive Companies by AIAG

Program is latest offering as AIAG expands its international reach to improve global quality

(AIAG: Southfield, MI) -- The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), which develops and promotes solutions to help manufacturing and service providers operate at peak performance, has partnered with VDA, the German association of the automotive industry, to offer VDA’s quality training programs in the United States. This program will allow North American suppliers to become more globally competitive with certification in German quality standards.

“Both AIAG and VDA are advocates for implementing global quality standards, and as automakers and suppliers continue to add facilities outside their home countries, it is imperative that local employees are properly trained,” says J. Scot Sharland, executive director of AIAG. “AIAG’s partnership with VDA allows us to offer the training necessary to support the growth of the German OEMs and their suppliers in the United States, so that the workers hired here meet German quality standards, without having to travel overseas for necessary training.”
