(Worldwide Speakers Group: Alexandria, VA) -- Former U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary and three-term governor, Michael O. Leavitt, has proposed a provocative plan to help revive the economy, drive productivity, and spur job creation: biomedical innovation.

In an article co-authored with former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt, Leavitt urges government leaders, the investment community, and all Americans to unite behind this important initiative to save the faltering U.S. economy and millions of American lives.

Leavitt’s bipartisan proposal transcends the petty bickering of politics and contends a compelling case of working and investing in the “biomedical frontier,” resulting in substantive short- and long-term solutions for chronic crushing problems on both a micro and macro level.
