Body

(QuantumVision Corp.: Roswell, GA) -- QuantumVision Corp., manufacturer, designer, and implementer of custom machine vision solutions, has created the Hammerhead, the industry’s first 3-D stereo smart vision system. The system integrates twin 1.3 megapixel imagers and 5 megapixel gray scale or color imagers. The Hammerhead gives machine vision users the ability to measure depth as well as use traditional 2-D vision algorithms, including 1-D and 2-D bar codes, linear measurement tools, and pattern matching.

With this stereo vision system, applications such as border protection, invisible fencing, and robotic guidance for palletizing and depalletizing are more cost-effective and easier to implement. Designed for use in virtually any environment, the Hammerhead is ideal for the surveillance industry, robotics, or any situation where depth improves or makes possible a successful vision inspection. The Hammerhead utilizes open architecture for ease of use by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The Hammerhead differentiates like no other.
