(Industrial Scientific: Pittsburgh) -- Industrial Scientific Corp. has announced the availability of 10 new 116-liter gas cylinders. The new 116-liter cylinders are only slightly larger than the popular 58-liter gas cylinders; however, the cylinders hold twice the volume of gas.

Depending on the customers’ calibration gas usage, the 116-liter cylinders provide a better cost per liter value than the 58-liter cylinders.

Additionally, the larger cylinders need to be changed less frequently, further reducing costs with fewer orders, as well as less maintenance time. Users of existing 58-liter cylinders will not need to purchase new gas regulators as the 116-liter cylinders use the same regulators.

The cylinders are also more environmentally friendly with twice the volume of gas in roughly the same package. As an ISO14001:2004 certified company, Industrial Scientific is committed to seeking out materials, processes, and practices that are environmentally responsible.
