(Alliance Scale Inc: Canton, MA) -- An analytical balance that is easy to operate and well-suited for a variety of laboratory, industrial, and educational weighing applications has been introduced by Alliance Scale Inc. of Canton, Massachusetts.

The Alliance/OHAUS Pioneer Series analytical balance provides 1.0 mg repeatability and has selectable environmental settings to compensate for vibrations and other disturbances and adjust for slow-filling applications. For high-sensitivity applications requiring 0.1 mg readability, the scale has a new draftshield with removable doors and panels for easy cleaning.

Featuring simple, menu-driven operation, the Alliance/OHAUS Pioneer Series analytical balance performs basic and dynamic (i.e., animal) weighing, parts counting, and percent weighing, and includes 15 international weighing units. Standard features include a level indicator, an RS232 port, and a combination software and mechanical switch that lock menus, including calibration.
