GOM Inspect allows users to import scan data from various types of measuring systems with a wide array of advanced point-cloud and inspection functionalities.

Mesh-processing: polygonize points to meshes, smoothing, thinning, hole-filling, data refinement, and extracting curvature lines from meshes.

Inspection: CAD import (e.g., IGES, STEP, JT-Open), alignments, comparisons, CAD-based primitive generation, 2-D section analysis, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) analysis, reporting (screen shots, tables, PDF), and other inspection features.

This software is entirely free to download and use. Results can be shared amongst departments and vendors, or with customers for faster communication and improved decision-making processes.
