Body

(Macro Sensors: Pennsauken, NJ) -- Macro Sensors’ linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) position sensors offer right-angle configurations, double-ended accessibility, and debris-free operation. Due to the radially mounted electrical connector and bending radius of the mating cable, the installed length of sensor unit is at least 2 in. shorter than comparable units with axial connectors. The sensors are rated for operation in temperatures up to 220°F (105°C).

A radially mounted electrical connector also permits through-bore operation that makes the right angle LVDT accessible from both ends for better mechanical support and core guidance than with blind-bore units. The through-bore design stops debris from getting trapped inside the LVDT body, allowing longer, more accurate operation. Open at both ends, LVDTs can be easily cleaned of grit, dirt, dust, or other contaminants for greater reliability and longer life.
