(Thwing-Albert Instrument Co: Chicago) -- Thwing-Albert announces the introduction of the newly designed, user-friendly, FP-2255 Coefficient of Friction (COF)/Peel Tester. The peel tester mode can be set up to perform 180° tests, 90° tests, and T-Peel tests for film-to-film, film-to-paper, and paper-to-adhesive applications. The COF tester mode can be configured to test the static and kinetic coefficient of friction of plastic film, paper, paperboard, and packaging materials.

The FP-2255 Friction Peel tester utilizes a new multifunctional keypad, which allows the user to easily navigate through the multiple menu options. The crosshead and the load cell are adjustable on the FP-2255 Friction Peel tester to simplify the change between various test setups. The new system also offers the ability to test to a specific distance or a specific time. The FP-2255 now comes standard with the Auto Return/Stop option at the end of a test.
