(TÜV SÜD America: Peabody, MA) -- TÜV SÜD America Inc. announces the recent hiring of Eric Ripley to the position of greenhouse gas (GHG) engineer and auditor for its Industry Service’s Carbon Management Division.

His past experience includes carbon offset project development and GHG inventory development for clients ranging from municipalities to large, multinational organizations. Ripley’s responsibilities in his new position include GHG validation and verification for emission inventories and carbon offset projects, and support of TÜV SÜD America’s ANSI GHG validation and verification accreditation process.

Ripley joins his colleague, Marisol Bacong, an environmental engineer in the carbon management division who was hired in September 2008. Bacong conducts validation/verification of voluntary emission reduction projects and clean development mechanism projects including energy efficiency in paper mills, cement manufacturing, landfill, renewable energy, and industrial processes.

Their respective appointments to the group help to further the expansion initiative of sustainable technologies and carbon management services within TÜV SÜD America Industry Service. Their diverse experience and combined technical expertise play a pivotal role in providing a high level of service to valued customers in the NAFTA region.

Ripley can be reached by e-mail at eripley@tuvam.com and Bacong can be reached at mbacong@tuvam.com.
