Corporate leaders discuss the strategic value of standardization

Published: Wednesday, April 18, 2012 - 09:17

(ANSI: Washington, DC) -- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in partnership with 27 leading organizations from across the U.S. standardization community, have coordinated a free online resource—the Standards Boost Business (SBB)—designed to help U.S. businesses understand the power of standardization in driving business growth, spurring innovation, and advancing U.S. competitiveness.

Expanding the reach and engagement media of the Standards Boost Business (SBB) promotional campaign, the SBB website now features a dynamic video gallery page. Testimonial videos from corporate and industry leaders speaking on the strategic and financial advantages of participation in standardization to their companies and organizations are presented for easy viewing directly on the page.

Testimonials from the following executives are currently featured:
• Evan Gaddis, president and CEO, NEMA
• Timothy Powers, chairman, president, and CEO, Hubbell Inc.
• Tom Gross, vice chairman and COO of the electrical sector, Eaton Corp.
• James A. Thomas, president, ASTM International

Interviews with other business and industry leaders will be added as they become available. In addition, more multimedia and video content promoting the power of standards and conformity assessment to boost bottom lines is expected to be developed.

Visit the Standards Boost Business video gallery page.

The SBB campaign has already gained significant ground in reaching corporate executives, government representatives, and consumers via editorials featured in business publications and an advertising campaign targeted at the C-suite. On behalf of the entire community, the SBB campaign will continue its efforts to get this critical message in front of decision makers and the greater business community.
