               Reliability    Center Inc. will host a series of workshops for lead investigator training that    include team leadership and the human side of failure. The schedule of the six workshops will be based upon clients’ requests, starting    in the second quarter of 2006. Topics include the PROACT root-cause analysis    methodology, human error reduction, mechanical-failure scene investigation,    electrical and instrument failure, software training and the development of    investigative skills using field situations. The workshops will be held in Hopewell,    Virginia, as well as at clients’ sites.

Students who complete the series and successfully complete a final exam will become certified PROACT Lead Investigators and will be capable of analyzing failures and undesirable outcomes in a disciplined and methodical manner. These skills are useful for root-cause analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, and opportunity analysis in a variety of businesses.
