(Kistler: Novi, MI) -- Kistler, a worldwide supplier of precision sensors, systems, and instrumentation for the dynamic measurement of pressure, force, torque, and acceleration, has introduced the Type 5630M series of high-performance process data collectors, designed to offer manufacturers and OEM machine builders  enhanced manufacturing-data storage, process visualization, and long-term analysis capabilities.

Manufacturers have long used statistical process control (SPC) and statistical analysis to ensure predictability, conformity, and waste reduction, as well as to find simple solutions to complex problems. With increasing customer-driven process-monitoring demands, simple data collection and analysis are no longer enough. Long-term data storage, as part of the collection process, must also be incorporated to maintain appropriate documentation confirming that a product conforms to a given process.
