IQS has enhanced its enterprise solution to enable seamless integration of its enterprise advanced product quality planning functionality within the Microsoft Project interface. The integration allows an at-a-glance visibility to information across all business units while working in Microsoft Project. Unlike previous attempts by original equipment manufacturers to manage APQP from a simple document-attachment strategy, IQS delivers the detailed information that enables handling data directly from engineering to quality, manufacturing and the supply chain.

“Because of the tight product integration, the problem of having to look to data files in multiple places when working on complex projects is solved,” says Brad Dedrick, IQS’ director of services. “We have incorporated an icon to reside on the Microsoft Project interface allowing users to see every aspect of a project from disruptions in the supply chain to project budget, aggregated data and even noncompliance risk. The combined strengths of both applications make for a powerful enterprise solution especially with the new SOX, TREAD and quality system requirements that demand communication between business units.”
