Executives from leading companies will share tactics and strategies for managing and retaining key talent, knowledge and intellectual capital with Global Benchmarking Council members at the conference on Human Capital Management: Facing the Challenges of the 21st Century Workforce, May 30–June 1, 2007 at The Ritz-Carlton Resort in Key Biscayne, Florida. Human resource professionals, operating managers, executives, and other like-minded business leaders who are confronting these issues and seeking fresh perspectives and guidance are invited.

This conference will focus on the key issues and operational strategies for developing and retaining talent and for preserving vital institutional knowledge. Various responses to these challenges will be explored, from succession planning and rotational development programs to the development of new reward programs and the execution of employee contracts that manage expectations for developing and retraining top management talent.

Recent studies predict that the highest percentage of employees from the managerial ranks will retire in the next 10 years, paving the way for younger, less experienced managers to fill the void. With baby boomers continuing to retire in record numbers, human capital leaders and HR professionals are seeking new ways to manage the critical shortage of leaders and prevent the loss of valuable intellectual capital and organizational knowledge.
