(CSCMP: Lombard, IL) -- The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) will present two Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management workshops this year. The two-day events are designed to help professionals explore the positive effect that a well-run supply chain can have on all aspects of a business while gaining an understanding of its many components.

Kenneth B. Ackerman of the K.B. Ackerman Co. and Art Van Bodegraven from The Progress Group LLC, two of the industry’s most notable experts, will be the workshop instructors.

"We provide a lot of experience-based content throughout the workshop’s 14 highly interactive modules,” says Van Bodegraven. “But there is additional value in the exchange of ideas and experiences by the participants and the opportunities to extend their personal networks within the supply chain community.”

According to Ackerman, hundreds of managers have discovered how to improve their supply chains’ performance by participating in these educational workshops. “Practitioners will gain an understanding of key supply chain principles that help drive increased productivity. They will also be encouraged to use their creative management skills while applying the essential principles we present through a number of challenging case-study exercises,” adds Ackerman.
