Jasurda will discuss “The Correlation of As-Built Products to As-Designed Models: Closing the Loop on Dimensional Measurement Results to Simulation Predictions” on Tues., Oct. 18, 2011, at 2 p.m. It is part of the Manufacturing/Materials/Structures—Product Design and Manufacturing Integration Track (Part 1 of 2). His presentation will highlight how to use simulation-based approaches to correlate the theoretical tolerance analysis results produced during engineering simulations to actual as-built results. This “closed loop” approach allows aerospace professionals to validate, capture, and reuse best practices on future programs for both engineering simulation and manufacturing.
