(ASQ: Milwaukee) -- The American Society for Quality (ASQ) invites anyone interested in service and performance excellence in government to register for a free webinar focusing on the use of lean and other continuous improvement strategies in state and local government.

“Enterprise Lean” in Minnesota and Beyond: Another State Makes the Commitment

This free webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, Noon – 1 p.m. EDT and features Tom Baumann, director of the Office of Continuous Improvement, Minnesota Department of Administration. The discussion centers on how the state of Minnesota initiated an “Enterprise Lean” program in 2007. The presentation will review how the program was introduced and how it supported and sustained the use of lean and other continuous process improvement methods. To date, 22 state agencies and 16 boards and commissions have been involved at some level in adopting these tools and methods. The goal is to reach all 24 cabinet-level state agencies by the end of 2010, and to make them available to nearly 50 other state boards and commissions.
