(Simio LLC: Sewickley, PA) – Simio LLC, a developer of 3-D object-oriented simulation software, recently announced the availability of Simio Express, a fully functional, 3-D object-based modeling and animation system. Simio Express, priced at $4,850, was brought to market so modelers could have an affordable, true 3-D object-based modeling alternative to older 2-D process-only-based tools, and to make 3-D animation part of the rapid modeling process at no extra cost.

“Simio Express is the affordable, fast track to results,” says Dennis Pegden, founder and CEO of Simio. “Simio Express is ideal for the casual user of simulation that wants to rapidly build eye-catching and realistic models of their systems.

Many 2-D simulation packages limit your ability to visualize your process or capture 3-D spatial relationships in your system. Others offer expensive or complex 3-D add-ons that require you to build a separate 3-D visualization of your system, and then tie these two separate components together. This adds unnecessary work and time to your project, and makes your model and animation difficult to edit and maintain,” adds Pegden.
